If you invested through Crowd2Let, the property crowdfunding platform, there has been a significant development. On 16 July 2026 the Financial Services Compensation Scheme confirmed it is now open to claims against Prosper Capital LLP in relation to the activities of its appointed representative Crowd2Let.
What has happened?
Prosper Capital LLP (FCA reference 453007) acted as principal to Crowd2Let Capital Limited, meaning it carried regulatory responsibility for Crowd2Let’s regulated activities. Prosper Capital was placed into creditors voluntary liquidation on 1 June 2026, and the FSCS is investigating the firm. Claims can now be submitted through the FSCS online claim service, although the FSCS has been clear that claims will not be passed for assessment immediately while it determines whether they meet the qualifying conditions for compensation.

What does this mean for investors?
