Logic Investments Ltd, a wealth management and stockbroking firm regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, was placed into special administration on 16 January 2026. Joint special administrators Alex Watkins and Ed Boyle of Interpath Ltd were appointed to manage the process. The collapse was swift: in December 2025, the FCA had already imposed conditions on the firm preventing it from taking on new clients or moving existing client money without consent.
The FSCS Default Declaration
The FSCS declared Logic Investments in default on 15 April 2026, back-dated to the day the firm entered special administration. This declaration matters because it confirms the FSCS is satisfied that valid claims will exist, and that it is now authorised to pay compensation.
What Is Happening to Client Assets?
The immediate focus of the special administration is the transfer of client money and custody assets to a new broker. The FSCS is funding the costs of the special administration for eligible claimants. Where assets can be transferred, that is likely to be the quickest route to regaining access to your investments. Where assets cannot be fully returned, FSCS compensation of up to £85,000 is available.
